Quarterly Review Q2 2015: September 2015
Equity markets started the year strongly, supported by falling energy prices and the start of quantitative easing (QE) by the European Central Bank (ECB). However, there was an increased level of volatility as we approached the half-way point of the year. Greece’s precarious finances dominated the headlines in June amid concern over whether the Syriza-led government would agree to make the reforms needed to obtain further funds following the 30th June expiry of the existing bailout programme.
