Riverside Capital has appointed former Drivers Jonas CEO, Nick Shepherd. as a non-executive director to the group Board. The appointment is effective immediately, and he joins co-founders, Andy Taylor and Dominic Wright and fellow non-executives, Rick Abbott and Robert Hannington. He will also join the firm’s Investment Committee.
Mr Shepherd has over 30 years’ experience as a UK property advisor, operating at the highest levels in both the private and public sectors. Working primarily in London, but also advising on investments across the UK, he is experienced in asset management, development, investment and occupational work.
He spent the majority of his career at Drivers Jonas, where he was managing partner until its merger with Deloitte in 2010, which he led. Subsequent to the merger, Mr Shepherd was an Executive Board member and later vice chairman of Deloitte, from which he retired on 31st May 2013. During his career, he acted for high-profile clients including Bank of England, Crown Estate and Royal Bank of Scotland.
Andy Taylor, Chairman of Riverside Capital, welcomed Shepherd’s appointment saying; “Nick is a highly experienced and respected property industry veteran.
